One of my favorite things about the internet has been how it can help introduce you to people and resources from all over the world that, without the web, you may have never met. (Note: not referring to online dating sites, Russian-brides-direct-to-you, or things of that nature.)
In my case I’m referring to other jazz musicians that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting throughout the years. Guitarists from all over the United States, as well as those beyond our borders.
Jazz Guitarist, Rick Stone
In the mid-’90s one of the guitarists I met (online) was New York based jazz guitarist and educator, Rick Stone. He’s a great player and his website always impressed me; very well done with nice graphics and a nice feel.
That was a while ago. Since then Rick has continued to develop online educational resources for other jazz guitarists, including private lessons from Rick via Skype.
The other day I talked with Rick on the phone about another fantastic resource he’s been developing.
