Ted Vieira is a jazz guitarist, composer, and creative artist whose music reflects the elegance, warmth, and emotional depth of classic jazz.
For more than 30 years, Ted lived and performed in Las Vegas, bringing his melodic guitar style to stages, lounges, intimate venues, and recording sessions throughout the city. Those decades helped shape both his musicianship and his artistic voice, giving him a deep appreciation for the timeless language of jazz and the subtle connection created between a musician and an audience.
Now back in the Pacific Northwest, Ted is beginning a new chapter and looks forward to continuing to perform, compose, record, and share his love of jazz with listeners and fellow musicians throughout the region.
Rooted in the traditions of Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, and Jim Hall, Ted’s playing is melodic, intentional, and expressive. Whether performing standards with a trio, creating intimate solo guitar arrangements, or composing original music, his focus is always on telling a story through every note.
Ted is also a dedicated educator who enjoys helping aspiring musicians develop a clearer, more personal relationship with jazz. Through private lessons, videos, articles, and online educational content, he encourages guitarists to move beyond simply learning notes and chords and begin playing with greater freedom, confidence, and feeling.
His creative life extends beyond music. As a photographer and visual storyteller, Ted is drawn to atmosphere, simplicity, and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments. Music and imagery often come together in his work, reflecting a shared appreciation for mood, space, and emotional honesty.
