I’ve been lucky enough to have played jazz guitar for over 30 years (and counting!).
I’ve played in every venue imaginable, from International Jazz Festivals to small intimate clubs, and everything in between. I still look forward to whatever gig is coming up next, or just getting together with friends and playing in someone’s studio.
Some of the musicians who’ve had the biggest influence in my playing as well as my appreciation for this wonderful art form would be players such as George Benson, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Ed Bickert, Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, and really too many more to list here.
I hope you enjoy what you find here on the site. It’s always my intention to add more to it as time goes by… video, lessons, recordings, photos, etc…
I really would like to add more free online lessons, especially in video format. Feel free to let me know if there’s anything particular you’d like to see.
Photography

I also enjoy being a photographer, it’s my other passion. I particularly love black and white photography, and when I’m not being lazy I’m shooting black & white film. My focus (no pun intended) is on portrait, beauty and cultural photography. You can see my work at TAVPhotography.com.
